Sometimes people think of the west as a place beyond the Mississippi River. Out west is a geographic location, wide open spaces, wilderness, mountains, lakes, cattle, sheep and horses. Here at Montana Saddlery we know that the west and the western way of life is a state of mind. It is a lifestyle as much as it is a place. We live and love the western way of life and everything that comes along with it.

It is our philosophy that man and horse should come together in a relationship that is good for both the man and the horse. It is with this philosophy in mind that Scott Thompson of Wild Country Ranch in Sandpoint, Idaho started Montana Saddlery. Scott wants to provide you with high quality saddles and tack at a price you can live with. The old adage that you get what you pay for is more often true than not, but here at Montana Saddlery we like to think that you are getting more value for your dollar.

Remember, "The worst day riding a horse is better than the best day working". A good ride is great therapy after a hard day, or a hard week, time with your horse takes the edge off and settles your mind.
